The system
A vertical slat, and no constraints
Linear and curved modules, with or without backrest and armrests, join into runs that follow a shoreline, wrap a planter or turn a corridor into a place worth stopping in.
The collection breathes and evolves in symbiosis with its surroundings, offering the freedom to customize every single point along the seating layout — where a back appears, where an arm interrupts, where the line simply keeps going.

Four pieces, one language
Every element carries the same vertical slat, so a bench, a curve, a table and a bin read as one installation rather than four purchases.
Curve
With its concave and convex forms, the curved frame breaks the rigidity of space to embrace the fluidity of urban life.
Table
Aesthetic rigour and versatility, allowing every inch of length and depth to be adapted to the specific needs of the project.
Litter bin
Style and function in the collection’s own language. The front-opening door makes maintenance quick, and the capacity disappears into the silhouette.

Three legs, one system
The leg is what decides whether a piece stands alone or becomes part of a continuous run. Liberty.080 gives you three.

Configuration
Every slot is yours to decide
A module arrives as a frame and a row of independent vertical slats. What goes in each slot is specified piece by piece, which is what lets one collection cover a bus stop, a courtyard and a cafeteria without looking like three collections.
- The slot
- Everything is counted in slots. One slot is one slat position on a 3.66″ pitch — a 3.15″ slat and a 0.51″ gap — and it is the unit lengths, armrests and backrests are all specified in.
- Standard lengths
- Linear modules come 13 slots (47.2″, seats two) or 20 slots (74.8″, seats three). The tables use the same two lengths and seat four and six.
- Custom lengths
- Linear seating can be built to any slot count in 3.66″ steps, from a four-slot minimum of about 15.7″. Tables run from eight slats, about 29.9″, up to twenty. Custom depths are engineered to a 35.4″ maximum. Custom work carries an order minimum and its own drawings and article numbers — ask before you specify it.
- Curved modules
- Twelve slots turning a true 90°, on a 27.6″ inner and 46.5″ outer radius. Curved length is fixed: it is the one dimension in the collection that cannot be changed.
- What goes in a slot
- An armrest; a flat slat; a slat with a backrest; or a backrest slat turned through 180° so two people on one bench face each other. Flat slats double as a place to set something down.
- Wood effect
- Sublimated wood effect is made on flat slats, wedge slats and backrest slats, in light ash, dark oak and cherrywood. Armrests cannot take it and are finished to match the frame. It is not in the 2026 US price list — quoted on request.
Specifying a run
Modules, legs, and the arithmetic between
Liberty.080 is not sold as finished benches. It is sold as modules and legs, and the leg schedule is what turns a list of modules into a run that stands up. Here is what a quantity takeoff has to account for.
- Legs are a separate order
- A bench is two article numbers: a pair of side legs and a module, packed and sold separately and put together on site. A 2-seat bench with a backrest on trapezium legs is
LBFI20F··+UT80PL1350A··. - Curved modules need a centre leg
LBFI30F··is required on every curved module, one per module, alongside a standard side leg — so a single curved bench is 1×LBFI10F··plus 1×LBFI30F··. It is not optional.- Joining modules
- The infinity leg stands in for the leg between two neighbours: two modules take 1×
LBFI10F··+ 1×LBFI50F··, three take 1× + 2×, four take 1× + 3×. Anchor the whole run when you use it. - Mixing finishes
- Legs and module are specified independently — corten legs under an anthracite seat is an ordinary order, not a special. Running individual slats in different colors within one module is possible, but it ships as loose components with its own hardware and has to be agreed with a Urbantime technician first.
- End caps, not anchors
- End caps are supplied with every piece and must be fitted wherever it is not bolted down. Ground anchors are not supplied. Table legs must be anchored.
- The litter bin
- Arrives assembled with its 17.2 gal liner. The front door — the first Urbantime has made — opens to 95° and needs level ground to swing properly, so anchor it flat. The basic bin is not an ashtray and should not be used as one.
Material
Aluminium and galvanized steel, built for outdoor use
Made in Italy from aluminium and galvanized steel, Liberty.080 is designed as a modular system for long-term outdoor use.
- Material composition
- Seating: EN46100 die-cast aluminium slats on 1.6″ square Sendzimir galvanized steel under-seat beams, sides in 0.20″ DD11 cold-galvanized sheet, armrests in 0.16″. Tables: extruded aluminium slats with die-cast zamak end caps. All matte polyester powder-coated.
- Finishes
- Thirteen powder colors are priced: twelve RAL plus corten effect, with custom RAL to order. Sublimated wood effect — light ash, dark oak, cherrywood — is made for the slats but is not in the US price list yet.
- Ground fixing
- Drilled for bolting or plate connection; anchors are not supplied. End caps are, and must be fitted wherever a piece is left free-standing. Table legs and any run on infinity legs must be anchored.
- Salt spray
- 600 hours to UNI EN ISO 9227:2024, passed — the coastal and de-icing exposure test.
- Warranty
- 8 years for Liberty.080; project-specific terms available from Urbantime USA.
The collection is named for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy. Packaging is FSC-certified.
